Computer Upgrades

Upgrading your computers memory, motherboard and CPU is like getting a new computer. Unfortunately this option is not available for laptops. But if you have a PC that is 5 years old or newer it can be upgraded.

Prices for this type of upgrade start at £89.00 and include a clean install of your current operating system.

Upgrading the Operating System can be more cost effective if your laptop or PC has Windows Vista installed. Apart from Windows Vista being a very slow operating system, it is also very unstable and seems to be less secure than Windows 7 or Windows XP. In this case you could consider an “upgrade” to Windows XP. Windows XP is available as a low cost solution to make your laptop or PC run like new again. For around £65.00 including labour, your computer will run faster, have less problems in general and be less prone to viruses.

The options available to customers who wish to upgrade Windows can be quite limited due to the cost. It is not value for money to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. One reason is that the main difference between Windows XP and Windows 7 is that the icons are nicer. For all intents and purposes Windows 7 is just a nicer looking version of Windows XP.
